Generate – From algorithm to structure

The University of Oulu Department of Architecture is hosting a seminar titled Generate - From algorithm to structure on the 30.10.2009. The seminar languages are Finnish and English.The seminar focuses on the uses of algorithmic design methods in practice. The programme includes eminent international speakers: Michael Hensel (Germany), David Serero (France), Luis Fraguada (Spain), Martin Tamke (Denmark) and Markus Wikar (Finland). The Algorithmic Architecture Project Group will also be presenting their work. During the seminar we will also celebrate the opening of an exhibition on algorithmic architecture and the publication of Generate - from algorithm to structure. After the seminar there will be a party held at the Architects Guild House.There are 300 places on the seminar. The first 150, in order of registration will receive a seat in the main auditorium. Another 150 places are available in an adjacent auditorium at Kulttuuritalo Valve where the seminar can be followed through a video link.
