ALGOMAD 2010
http://www.algomad.org/
Soporta programación orientada a objetos, reflejo y scripting.
Introducción a GenerativeComponents.
Variables y Listas, Series().
Fabricación.
Generación de objetos personalizados (FeatureType)
Día 2
Importar y exportar datos a Excel.
Introducción a GCscript.
Más información sobre GenerativeComponents
Taller 2. Grasshopper Grasshopper
Introducción a Grasshopper.
Estructuras Básicas. Análisis de ejemplos.
Reactividad y espacios duales.

PARAsite: parametric and algorithmic research in architecture
The studio posits a behavioral design methodology, re-conceptualizing design as the organization of matter. This behavioral understanding of design focusses on the dissolution of normative hierarchies that operate within architectural organization and tectonics. A non-linear algorithmic design methodology is proposed capable of displacing existing hierarchies through the emergent operation of self-organizing systems.

GEOMETRY: XENAKIS AND PHILIPS PAVILION
“For the time being only cement lies at the origin of the new architecture. It prepares the bed in which the plastic materials of tomorrow will form a river rich in forms and volumes, figures that are found not only in the biological entities but above all in the most abstract mathematics.”

Open Up Workshop: Projects for the digital facade of Medialab-Prado
In this event 7 projects selected through an international open call will be collaboratively developed within this next 2 weeks.
The goal of this project production workshop is to explore the relationship with the urban space by opening production processes through different citizen participation strategies. Selected projects are being developed with the aid of tutors and technical assistants such as Jordi Claramonte, Chandler McWilliams, Casey Reas, Víctor Viña, Chris Sugrue and Massimo Avvisati.
The programme includes theoretical activities on February 9, 10 and 16, with lectures by tutors and lecturers such as Erkki Huhtamo and Jennifer Steimkamp. You can follow all lectures and project presentations through live streaming.
We have just created a new experience to document the process through a blog to spread the contents generated during the workshop, using social networks, video platforms, feeds, microblogging, etc. (http://www.medianeralab.es/blog).
Directed by Nerea Calvillo.

Call for collaborators Open Up Workshop: projects for the digital façade of Medialab-Prado
Join us for the Open Up international workshop! This event is focused on the development of 8 selected projects for the digital façade in Medialab-Prado cultural center's building. The goals of the workshop are to explore the relationship between the urban screen and public space, to experiment with the screen’s communicative, narrative and visual capacities, and to investigate its potential to offer new forms of participation.
According to its field of interest, each collaborator can be part of any team, bringing his/her knowledge and ideas to the workgroup and, at the same time, learning from the group and the teachers: Jordi Claramonte, Chandler McWilliams, Casey Reas, and Víctor Viña. Directed and coordinated by Nerea Calvillo.
For residents out of Madrid, Medialab-Prado will cover for the stay of a limited number of participants at a Youth Hostel during the workshop.
No entry fees.

eCAADe 2010: Future Cities
Contemporary cities are environmentally, socially, and economically unsustainable. The quality of urban life is threatened by such factors as pollution, rising temperatures, limited resources, congestion, social inequalities, aging of large sectors of the world population, poverty, informality, crime, and economic imbalances. The overall planning of future cities is a challenge that can only be faced by interdisciplinary teams combining multitudes of backgrounds and expertise.
The focus of the eCAADe 2010 conference is that of tools, methods, and theories that support the new design of new cities and the transformation of existing cities. Authors are encouraged to submit their most recent research, teaching, practice and experience reports, or novel applications relating to topics of the eCAADe 2010 conference.
